The Chair to welcome members of the committee, officers, any external witnesses, and the public to the meeting and introduce committee members, officers and witnesses who are present.

Councillors to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests, other registerable interests, or non-registerable interests (including other pecuniary interests) they may have in the business to be transacted, and officers to declare any interests they may have in any contract to be considered.

To approve, and the Chair to sign as a correct record, the Minutes of the meeting of the Policy Performance and Scrutiny Management Committee held on 11 February 2025.

To receive and note the Recommendations Tracker and information regarding outcomes agreed at previous meetings.

To consider submissions from members of the public requesting scrutiny of a particular Council service, or a matter over which the Council has influence. 

Note:  Written notice of submissions must be submitted to the Committee Services Manager not later than 12 noon eight clear working days before the date of the meeting.

To consider a report and presentations on the impact of the future growth of the City on infrastructure.

To receive the annual update from the Chair’s of scrutiny committees.

To receive an update on the draft committee work programmes for 2025-26.

The Chair and Vice Chairs propose the following recommendation:

“That the Council be asked to agree the addition for the following clause to the Policy Performance and Scrutiny Management Committee Terms of Reference:

To agree and manage the work programme for the scrutiny committees appointed by the Council, ensuring that they are comprehensive, avoid duplication, and reflect the priorities in the Council Plan or any other significant issues that are affecting Milton Keynes.”

To review and monitor the recommendations of the scrutiny committees from 2024-25.
